have a much wider viewing angle than a hologram, in full photographic
color, & do not require specific lighting. A photo captures
an instant, a movie depicts an episode - Depthography's images
combine aspects of both. A visual concept can be captured, isolated,
emphasized and replayed to the viewer's pleasure by a mere interactive
gesture. Objects can appear behind, and project in front of the
picture. The dramatic perception of depth makes you want to touch
the picture to prove it is not on a flat surface.

Depthography is currently manufacturing
lenticulars as large as 4' X 8' with the following techniques
available.
By using our amazing 2-D into 3-D
translation methods, any photograph or
flat artwork can be transformed into a full three-dimensional
lenticular by our unique proprietary computer imaging techniques.
You can have the simpler, elegant
2-phase lenticular picture or several seconds of continuous
action. Existing motion picture film or stock footage can be
utilized as source material for an animated sequence utilizing more than 72 frames.
Live models and sets can be
photographed with our unique real time scanning cameras to show a sequence of completely unfragmented motion
and 3-D for a truly exclusive display. Live models and objects
can also be combined with computer art or scanned images.
Your
computer generated image files can be
supplied camera ready, or used as original source material for
3-D or 2-D animated images. Computer Graphics World Magazine in January of '94 reviewed our images for
the 'TECH
WATCH' column and said the following about our
2-D animations... "animation
of remarkable sophistication," and
of our 3-D, "your
fingers appear to slip through the projecting image to a space
somewhere behind it".
Our
