Instructions for Viewing
Normally, one views stereo pairs mounted and in a viewer,
as a stereo card mounted and in a stereoscope, Polarize projected,
or rear screen polarize projected with 3-D glasses.
There is a method by which you can see the above images similar
to the way one would view a random dot stereogram (Magic Eye),
whereby you see the images in 3-D on your computer without use
of any equipment or glasses. . This is commonly known as "Free
Viewing". It takes a little practice. Try it...
To begin, your eyes should be about arms length from the monitor.
Place your thumb on the line bisecting the pair. With your eyes
focused on your thumbnail, slowly draw it closer to you. You
will notice in the background that the bisecting line will appear
to become two lines spreading apart., to the point that there
will become a third central image. Carefully try to maintain
the image "fusion" as you remove your thumb.
Alt method: The 2 boxes become 4 boxes as you start to relax
your eye muscles, then merge to 3... Focus on the center box...
Good luck... and have fun!
