On Saturday, November 14th, Robert Munn & Sara Cook of the Depthography Group
will be presenting a 3-D Projection show of Stereoscopic images of World War
1 with electronic Theremin accompaniment. The images are from Mr. Munn's
extremely rare personal collection of 200 glass plate stereo photographs of
the conflict. These 90 year old, emulsion-on-glass stereo plates were
manufactured in France between 1914-1918 and present a graphic,
uncompromising view of the horrors of trench warfare, no-man's-land, the
brutality and devastation of the World's first "modern" war. The immersive
effect provided by the 3-D projection combined with Mr.Munn's provocative
live performance on the Theremin assures the audience a startling experience
difficult to soon forget. This is the latest in a series of 3-D projected
events by Munn & Cook at the Gershwin Hotel as part of Neke Carson's weekly
art cabaret events at the hotel. Munn & Cook are artists who have been
creating art invarious 3-D media for over 25 years, and their last effort of
this type, the "World's Fairs in 3-D" show this past September was standing
room only. Tickets $10 at door, this includes 3-D glasses
