DEPTHOGRAPHY, INC.

At Depthography, we have perfected the art of producing lenticular images. Photographs capture an instant, and movies depict episodes - Depthography's images combine aspects of both. A gesture can be captured, isolated, emphasized and replayed to the viewer's pleasure by a mere interactive movement. Motion in the image relies on the movement of the person viewing the picture, thereby encouraging direct interaction. Our imaging techniques provide an atmosphere to compliment and dramatize. Objects can appear behind, or project in front of the picture. Live models and objects can be combined with computer art, or scanned images. Unbelievable depth makes you want to put your fingers through the picture to prove it is on a flat surface. By using our amazing 2-D into 3-D translation methods, any photograph or flat artwork can be transformed into a full three-dimensional lenticular, by our proprietary computer imaging technics.

Up to several seconds of continuous action is an option for animated images. Existing Motion Picture Film or stock footage can be utilized as source material for an animated sequence utilizing of up to 50 frames. We reserve the right to reject, and or edit film sequences.

Live models and sets can be photographed with our unique real time scanning cameras to show completely unfragmented motion / 3-D image for a truly exclusive display.

Computer Generated Image files can also be used as original source material for a 3-D, or an 2-D animated image. Manipulated to our specifications, can yield spectacular results. Computer Graphics World Magazine in January of '94, reviewed our image products for the 'TECH WATCH' column and said the following about our 2-D pictures... "an animation of remarkable sophistication" and of our 3-D, "your fingers appear to slip through the projecting image to a space somewhere behind it".

Two grades of lens are currently available. One is thicker, a more refined screen for the most dramatic 4-D results, which apply best to pop advertising, trade show and window displays, corporate art pieces, as well as high end collectable product lines such as clocks, jewelry, cd inserts, etc.. The second is a thinner grade of lens screen, better suited for the mass production of book covers, cd and cassette covers, mailers, business cards, product tip ons, and premiums, etc..

Production- During an initial consultation, the projects general concept and subject matter are discussed to insure the best possible result. Design ideas will provided to assist in utilizing the full capabilities of the various processes. If a live photo shoot is required, the subject matter is photo scanned in our production studio. A minimum of 2 weeks should be allowed for the production of the first image, although the scheduled delivery time varies according to the current production schedule. Live photo shot lenticulars- can usually be seen within 24 hours. All prices are quoted on a per job basis. Please call or E-mail us your requirements.
