In "Dial M For Murder", Hitchcock introduced stereo into his film... He even gave out stereo Realist cameras to those who worked on the project. A stereo enthusiast, definitely...

 

The adventures of captain 3-D... Anaglyph commix were a short lived sensation in the 50's. fear of permanent cross-eyed vision and permanent damage to morals put a damper on the rein of captain 3-D...

 

The first advertisement of the Realist camera in 1945. unfortunately the camera was not on the market until 1947 due to post war material shortages.

 

 Salvador Dali-esque ad for the realist in 1946... No wonder all the movie stars were lining up to buy them...
